Benedikt Cramer Named New Managing Director for Restrain

Restrain has appointed Benedikt Cramer as it new managing director, a Sept. 14 news release said. Dirk Garos, current managing director, will move to new role of strategic director. Restrain is an ethylene-based sprout control solutions company.

“Restrain has developed a fantastic technology to store and ripen crops in a safe and sustainable way,” Cramer said in the release. “I’m looking forward to helping Restrain build on the rapid growth of the past few years, taking the organization to the next level and making this technology available to every farmer and warehouse manager around the world.”

Cramer previously was the managing director of Nufarm Germany where he helped them increase sales in the agrochemical sector, the release said.

“Benedikt’s extensive background in agrochemicals and his proven track record of leadership make him a valuable addition to the Restrain team,” Garos said in the release.

Under Garos leadership, Restrain expanded globally in recent years. The release noted that in his new role, Garos will focus on further opportunities for more global growth.
