The Potato Symposium in Lévis, Que. is celebrating its 40th anniversary on Nov. 25, a website post said. The theme for this year’s conference is “A crossroads of expertise for 40 years” and features more than a dozen speakers talking about farming practices and eco-responsible production.
The page noted there’s opportunities for networking and exchange between advisers, producers, stakeholders and suppliers, all passionate about this constantly improving production.
Featured speakers include:
- Celia Bordie speaking on Colorado potato beetles
- Mike Thornton speaking on how climate change affects potatoes
- Gilbert Lavoie speaking on economics and manager of a potato company
- Zachary Dolbec speaking about Patates Dolbec and Ubald Distillerie
Early bird registration for the conference is open until Nov. 11.
