On Feb. 22-23, the Eastlink Centre in Charlottetown saw a bustling crowd of industry experts from all over North America, convening for the 2024 edition of the International Potato Technology Expo, according to a press release. The venue buzzed with enthusiastic growers, packagers, and processors, all eager to capitalize on this biennial event.

In total, 3,114 attendees strolled through the exhibition space, exploring a wide array of displays from local, regional, national, and international businesses. Exhibitors showcased state-of-the-art products, from novel potato strains to the most advanced equipment models, innovative cultivation techniques, packaging and processing automation solutions, crop management technologies, and more.

The show featured a two-day conference, bringing together potato specialists on both mornings to delve into discussions on market dynamics, ongoing research, and developments in the agricultural sector. The Thursday session was sponsored by the United Potato Growers of Canada, while the Friday conference was jointly presented by the PEI Potato Board and the Prince Edward Island Department of Agriculture and Land.
