Potato Harvest Done in Parts of Manitoba

Potato harvest progress across Manitoba ranges from 30 to 100 per cent done, with the provincial average at 50 per cent, the Sept. 21 provincial potato report from Manitoba Agriculture’s Vikram Bisht says.

Harvest conditions have been decent, with the forecast set to be good for the coming week, the report says.

Temperatures across the province have started cooling down. A widespread frost happened overnight on Sept. 8/9, while another one happened overnight on Sept. 17/18 and affected areas in the western and southern portions of Manitoba, the report notes.
