All commercial potato planting is done in Manitoba with emergence five to seven days behind normal, the weekly crop report from Manitoba Agriculture, released on June 9 says.

Weed control operations are underway with wild oats being noted in some fields, the report notes. Strong winds have caused erosion of hills.
