BioSafe Systems has introduced ARRET Sprout Treatment for the 2015 potato storage season, a solution approved by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for fresh pack line treatments as well as for fogging treatment applications. According to BioSafe, ARRET is a new, innovative chemistry that utilizes a green and sustainable fatty acid formulation that burns down sprouts on contact. It’s described by the company as a highly cost-efficient and effective product that provides growers with “a new tool to enhance quality and storage life of potatoes, in turn increasing yield and the bottom line.”
