Call for Expressions of Interest 11th World Potato Congress, 2021

World Potato Congress Inc. is calling for expressions of interest from those considering the possibility of hosting the 11th triennial World Potato Congress in 2021.

According to a news release, having the opportunity to host key players in the global potato industry “can prove beneficial to the host country and region. Our Congress typically attracts 700 – 800 delegates from 50 countries and provides a tremendous platform for promoting the industry in the host country.”

Since the first World Potato Congress at Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada, in 1993, the Congress has been held at the following locations.
1994 – Harrogate, United kingdom
1997 – Durban, South Africa
2000 – Amsterdam, The Netherlands
2004 – Kunming, China
2006 – Boise, United states
2009 – Christchurch, New Zealand
2012 – Edinburgh, Scotland
2015 – Yanqing, Beijing, China
The 10th Congress will be held at Cusco, Peru, in May, 2018.

World Potato Congress Inc. is a non-profit organization supported by a group of volunteer directors representing potato jurisdictions around the world.
