Tong Engineering Earns Acclaim with ISO 9001 Certification

-

Tong Engineering, a renowned name in vegetable handling equipment manufacturing, is celebrating its recent attainment of the ISO 9001 accreditation from the British Standards Institution (BSI).

This prestigious certification underscores the company’s unwavering commitment to quality management and continuous improvement on a global scale.

The journey to ISO 9001 certification was spearheaded by Tong Engineering’s Process Improvement Manager, Jim Worley, who led a comprehensive review of the company’s operations. This involved implementing a meticulously structured plan aimed at driving sustained and measurable improvements across all operations.

“This accreditation is the result of a tremendous team effort,” Worley says. “We have refined our processes and established a solid framework for ongoing improvement. While this is just the beginning of our journey, ISO 9001 certification demonstrates our focus on ensuring every product meets the highest standards, from initial design to final delivery and installation.”

ISO 9001 is globally recognized as the standard for quality management systems, bolstering Tong Engineering’s standing as an industry leader.

Managing Director Edward Tong emphasized the significance of this achievement, saying, “Quality has always been at the heart of our business. Gaining ISO 9001 accreditation is not just about meeting a standard, it’s about ensuring that we continue to evolve, improve, and provide our customers with the best solutions in the industry. I’m incredibly proud of our team for their hard work and drive towards this achievement.”
