Day 1 of Manitoba Potato Production Days (MPPD) was mashed with activity and baked to perfection!
With a plethora of sessions — everything from Wild Pigs and Spuds to Pink Rot Prevention andManagement to the keynote by Olympic Gold Medalist and TV Host Jon Montgomery — there was something for everyone.
Today’s sessions include Water Stewardship as an Agricultural Opportunity (with Mike Nemeth), Exploring “win-win” Regenerative Agriculture Practices in Potato Production from Ryan Barrett (research and agronomy specialist with the PEI Potato Board and Spud Smart columnist) and The Science and Humour of a Career in the Potato Industry (with Dr. Neil Gudmestad), and much more.
