Restrain, known for residue-free crop storage solutions, has partnered with Crop Services (Scotland) Ltd. to deliver innovative and sustainable storage solutions to Scottish farmers.
Crop Services, with more than 50 years of experience in the potato seed and ware industries, employs a team of experts that provide advanced agronomic services, making them a trusted name in Scotland’s agricultural sector.
The collaborations stems from a joint focus on meeting the increasing demand for environmentally friendly storage solutions in the potato industry, according to a press release.
With Restrain’s residue-free anti-sprout control products — most notably their flagship ethylene-based storage solution and the Accumulator — Scottish farmers will have access to reliable alternatives designed specifically for their needs.
“Partnering with Restrain represents a significant step forward in offering sustainable solutions to the Scottish agricultural sector,” says Douglas Stephens, Founder of Crop Services. “By combining our extensive local market knowledge with Restrain’s cutting-edge technology, we aim to support both traditional and emerging ‘super’ growers with effective, eco-friendly sprout suppression methods.”
This alliance will allow Crop Services to leverage their robust network within the potato industry to promote Restrain’s innovative solutions, expanding their reach into new areas of the country. By prioritizing positive customer experiences, the partnership is set to enhance acceptance of natural storage methods across the region.
Dan Hewitt, Country Manager (UK) at Restrain, says, “We’re thrilled to partner with Crop Services, whose reputation and expertise in Scotland’s agricultural sector make them an ideal collaborator. Together, we will drive market development and empower farmers with residue-free solutions that meet modern sustainability goals.”
