HZPC Americas Promotes Aron Derbidge to President

Aron Derbidge has been promoted to president of HZPC Americas Corp., a July 3 news release said. He will take over the new role leading HZPC operations across the United States and Canada as of May 1.

“I feel very blessed to have the opportunity to help advance an industry that has given me so much. I’m eager to take on the senior leadership role for HZPC Americas Corp. representing our Canadian and U.S. business,” Derbidge said in the release.

Derbidge has more than 20 years of experience in developing and marketing seed potatoes as well as supporting businesses in commercial growth across the U.S. and Canada. He received a bachelor’s degree from University of Utah and a master of business administration and management from Idaho State University.

Derbidge joined HZPC Americas two years ago as senior vice president of sales. He was recently appointed to the Potatoes USA Board of Directors and serves as the potato section chair with the American Seed Trade Association (ASTA), the release said.

The release noted Jeff Scramlin will be stepping down as current president but will still stay on with HZPC Americas Corp. for special projects, including supporting Potato Glory (a brand owned by the Royal HZPC Group) projects.
